The rules that matter

  • The 40th festival runs 29 October – 15 November 2026.
  • The Leeds Music Video Competition prize is £500, within £8,000 of total short film prizes across nine competitions.
  • Oscar-qualifying for Live Action and Animated Short; BAFTA and BIFA qualifying for British shorts.
  • The next cycle lists a Super Earlybird on 11 December, but without a year, so it is not yet a confirmable 2027 call.
